NATURAL SCIENCE 2012-1013 / 2013-2014

1. Ciències de la naturalesa   com a optativa quadrimestral de 2n d’ESO (2 h setmana )

Dins del programa AICLE que porta a terme el nostre Institut, des del Departament de Biologia-Geologia hem introduït una optativa de ciències naturals a 2n d’ESO.  

Aquesta optativa  té com a objectiu fer una revisió de conceptes de ciències. Alguns dels conceptes són ampliació de la biologia i geologia de 1er d’ESO i altres són una introducció a temes del cos humà, que es tracten a 3r d’ESO.  

Atès que la major part dels conceptes ja són coneguts pels alumnes, el fet de treballar-los en anglès facilita la seva comprensió i la introducció de vocabulari en anglès es fa més àgil. Per altra banda, hi ha conceptes que s’introdueixen a segon que després es veuran ampliats a tercer d’ESO, de manera que serviran d’introducció a l’assignatura de Biologia de 3r que faran en anglès. 

En aquesta optativa fem servir un llibre de fitxes temàtiques que introdueixen un concepte amb un petit text, i una sèrie d’exercicis relacionats, tant de comprensió, d’ús de vocabulari, com exercicis de petites recerques a Internet, etc. Segons el nivell del grup es pot aprofundir més en uns aspectes o en uns altres. En els grups amb més dificultats es treballa més el vocabulari i la comprensió, i en els més avançats es poden fer treballs complementaris de recerca i ampliació. 

El llibre disposa d’un glossari de termes relacionats amb cada unitat.

Moltes de les unitats estan reforçades amb fitxes extretes d’altres llibres, com per exemple Science Support-Biology (Helen Norris- Cambridge).

També hi ha una sèrie de webs que es visiten amb els grups avançats. 

Els conceptes treballats es poden agrupar en aquestes grans àrees: 

·                     Sostenibilitat

·                     La Terra i el Sistema Solar

·                     Els organismes vius i les seves característiques

·                     Els animals vertebrats i invertebrats

·                     El món de les plantes i la fotosíntesi

·                     Ecologia: Xarxes trafiques, ecosistemes

·                     La cèl·lula

·                     El cos humà: diferents aparells

·                     El cicle de l’aigua. 

Es fan proves escrites cada 4 o 5 unitats, i també es valorarà la participació activa dels alumnes tant pel que fa a la presentació dels treballs escrits com les de les intervencions orals.
